The Madison Courier

Police still looking for Daniel Reaves

Courier Staff Report

Police are still looking for Daniel Reaves, 25, formerly of Madison, who has been missing since May 3.

Indiana State Police investigators, who are now handling the case, have followed up on all leads but have found nothing.

Reaves, of Jennings County, is 5-foot-11 and weighs about 145 pounds. He has dark brown hair, light blue eyes and is clean-shaven. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with long shorts and light brown shoes.

Reaves' 1999 Chrysler Sebring was found on Green Hills Drive on May 10. The car has been processed for evidence by the Indiana State Police. No information has been released on the findings.

Friends and family told police that it is out of character for Reaves to seclude himself. He has always kept family and friends informed of his whereabouts.

Local law enforcement agencies conducted an extensive search near Clifty Falls State Park along Little Clifty Creek on May 10 after finding Reaves' car.

Madison Police Chief John Wallace said Reaves had lived in the area when he was younger and was known to hike in the area near where his car was found.

Anyone with information on where Reaves is should call the Indiana State Police Versailles Post at 800-566-6704 (within Indiana) or (812) 689-5000.
